Seeking Co-Founder for Restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) Project

Hello everyone,

I'm a software developer with over 25 years of experience in C# and .NET technologies. For more than a decade, I co-owned a successful Thai restaurant. During this time, I developed a comprehensive restaurant point-of-sale system to address the challenges I observed firsthand.

About the Project:

Proven in a Real-World Setting: The software was deployed in our restaurant, used by both front-of-house and back-of-house staff in multiple languages, and facilitated online pickup orders for customers. This practical application allowed me to refine the system based on actual operational needs and user feedback.

Intuitive User Interface: The POS system features a user-friendly interface that presents only the necessary information at any given moment. This design reduces clutter and makes it easier for staff to navigate, improving efficiency and reducing training time.

High-Quality Codebase: I've invested significant effort into writing clean, maintainable code. This attention to detail enhances the software's flexibility, making it easier to add new features and adapt to different restaurant needs.

Scalable Design: The system is designed to support multiple restaurants of various sizes, accommodating their unique requirements.

Unique Features: The software includes efficient functionalities such as flexible bill-splitting options, allowing staff to handle complex transactions quickly and easily.

Why I'm Posting:

I'm looking to bring this software to market. Despite the presence of established players, I believe there's room for innovative solutions that address specific needs within the restaurant industry. I see opportunities to serve niches that are currently underserved.

My Vision:

Focusing on Specific Niches:

Thai Restaurants and Similar Establishments: Many restaurants in specific culinary niches use outdated or less sophisticated systems. By offering a solution tailored to their unique needs, we can provide a valuable alternative.

Local Delivery Companies: I'm considering developing tools for local delivery services to create their own customized online ordering platforms, helping them compete more effectively.

Incorporating AI Technology:

"Text to Menu" Feature: This tool would allow restaurant owners or delivery services to generate a digital menu by simply describing it in text, streamlining the onboarding process.

AI Assistant: An integrated assistant to help users navigate the system, generate reports, and perform tasks, making the software accessible even to those who aren't tech-savvy.

Business Approach: Offering the software through a flexible pricing model with options for additional features or services based on client needs.

What I'm Looking For:

I'm seeking a co-founder who can complement my technical expertise with skills in:

Sales and Marketing: Someone who can help promote the software, reach out to potential clients, and develop strategies to attract and retain customers.

Business Development: Experience in securing funding and managing business operations to support growth.

Industry Knowledge: An interest in the restaurant industry and a desire to improve the tools available to business owners.

Collaboration: A willingness to work full-time on this venture, sharing responsibilities and making joint decisions.

Why Partner with Me:

Real-World Tested Solution: The software has been successfully used in an actual restaurant setting, providing a solid foundation to build upon.

Commitment and Passion: I've dedicated over a decade to developing this software and am enthusiastic about its potential to make a positive impact.

Growth Potential: With the right strategy, we can address specific market needs and expand into other areas over time.

Next Steps:

If this opportunity interests you, I'd be happy to discuss it further. I can provide demonstrations of the software and share more details about my vision and plans. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to explore the possibility of collaborating on this project.

Looking forward to connecting!

I have built a POS system (and warehouse) that has run (and running) on 70 restaurants and probably 400 food kiosks in the UK, a few dozen in Austria and for 2 years few hundred in France, will not recommend attempting to hit that market without someone with a large chain of restaurants as a customer, going at it one by one will not go well regardless how good is your software

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated!

Hi Adrian, I have a SAAS for Hotels called BeBetterHotels . I've been selling our solution to similar customers maybe we can find a good relationship to distribute your solution.

And if things go well we can talk about partnering up.

Why do you want to funding? Some companies need funding to grow, but if we can be away from the funding is better, at leas on the first steps. Funding can be very expensive if things go well.
I've done both, funding and bootstrapp and for now I think I like better the bootstrapp way.
